Jambo, habari gani ? We're a French couple, living in Paris, and we have spent 13 wonderful days in Tanzania. We were back in France on February 12th, but our minds are still in Africa...
We have lived for 3 days in your paradisiac lodge from February 2nd to 4th, we still have in our memories the "kiboko" drawing on the door of our room 35. It has been the best days of our safari, it was definitely the best place to be at this moment. We have seen lots of animals in your neighbourhood: giraffes, zebras and elephants already at the waterhole, cheetahs, hyenas, lions, gazelles and of course thousands of wildebeests. We were among the fortunate people who could have heard the famous "roaring lions night" and we were more fortunate to meet them the morning after on the Ndutu lake shore just before dawn. It was an amazing encounter: 3 lions and a lioness walking in our direction and crossing us, calm and quiet in a beautiful light. We can't tell you all the meetings we had... the 4 cheetahs trying to chase a hare; one of the many lost newborn wildebeest; the so close elephant eating the plants in garden of the bungalow at the very right with the aardvark wooden statue, and the other one, so close too, between our room 35 and the tents; the bat who slept hang on our verandah...
What could we say about your lodge ? Our english is not enough fluent to find the superlatives. But we can say that it is a kind of paradise. We won't forget the lounge, the bar and the genets at the early breakfasts, the small and nice shop, the footprints in the cement... Nice rooms, great organisation, very good food, and very nice people.
Say hello to Joseph who has kindly taken care of us during our meals. So sad to be back in France, we just have one thought: To go back! Almost every day we take a look on your site in the Paul's lines on "What's happening" section to follow your news, it is a bit like we are still there... Thank you again for such wildlife beauties, such hospitality and kindness.
We hope to see you soon...
